A Very Cold, Snowy Week

~Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic week! This week was cold, and I mean really cold. We went sledding a bunch, and watched the snow fall onto the ground, which is so satisfying! Winter in Idaho is just so beautiful, and it seriously feels like we are in a snow globe! If you haven’t noticed already, I made a new page called Saylah’s Style (style), and that page is obviously going to be all about what my style is, tutorials of the hairstyles I like, etc! Check it out after reading this week’s blog post!~
WHAT WE DID THIS WEEK:
Monday we had our weekly co-op called Little Light Academy! After the co-op, in the evening, we got back to choir again, since we had a small break! Happily, our close friend Melody joined the choir, and I am glad that we will be seeing each other more often!
Tuesday we did school at home, and our friends the Sabaus came over to play and hangout for a bit!
Wednesday we went sledding with our neighborhood friends at a park close by to where we live! The park has a big hill, so it made us go very fast! In the evening, I went to Volleyball Practice! It was fun, but also very hard, but that’s the whole point of sports: to get better at something that you love you do!
Thursday we changed up school a bit by doing schoolwork at the new coffee shop in our downtown! I love how family friendly the coffee shop is, and that most of the time there is Christian music playing in the background! Then after school, my Mom dropped me and my sis downtown to walk around, and do some shopping! I love those little hangouts I get to do with Audrey, to chat, and laugh! I hope those hangouts will last a lifetime!
Friday me and my family went sledding in a neighborhood with pretty big hills, and at a park with one huge hill! It was so much fun! I am so excited to go sledding again! Then in the late afternoon, me and my Dad went to the same coffee shop I went to the day before, and had a designing class, where he taught me how to design clothing! I made a volleyball shirt, and a volleyball sweatshirt! I am so thankful to have a creative Dad to learn from!
Saturday we had a pretty big snow storm, nothing crazy, but we still had to stay inside! We did a lot of cleaning in the house, played games, and watched a movie! My Mom taught me that sometimes slow days are the best days, because I was kinda struggling with being inside all day, but now I can see how they could be the best days!
WHAT GOD HAS TAUGHT ME:
This week I have been missing my family more in California, and in other states around the Country. I miss hanging out with my cousins, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and honestly thinking about it has made my heart sad. But God had taught me that we are in the place we are for a reason, and that what He is doing is for a reason! It is not bad to be sad, but we need to know that we are in the place we are for a reason, and that everything that he is doing is for the good.
WHAT I BAKED:
This week, me and my sister Audrey made Starbucks Vanilla Bean Scones! Oh… They were so good! Sometimes I caught myself eating too much of them haha! This dessert is really easy to make, but takes time. So don’t rush it, because you want them to look and taste delicious!
NEW:
This week’s writing assignment was to write about Daniel and the Lion’s Den! This Bible story is so wonderful. Daniel never gave up on God. He never stopped praying to Him, even though the King of Babylon ordered him not to. Daniel believed that God would deliver him from the Lions in the den, and he was delivered! Never give up on God. Always believe in Him, pray to Him, worship Him, even if someone tells you not to. You will be rewarded greatly in Heaven!
MY GOALS FOR THE NEW WEEK:
- Bake Lemon Blueberry Muffins
- Paint my nails a pink color
- Call my cousins Sara, and Molly
- Make a card for my grandma
- Make a blog post on how I get me hair curly overnight
I hope you all have an amazing new week to come! Stay tuned for more posts coming up soon, God bless, and…

LOVE YOU 🤍❄️!

Aww Saylah! I love this and miss you so much! Love how you and Audrey have grown so much closer as time has gone by and now you’re even baking together in tandem! So cool, wish I was there to have some scones and coffee with you girls!
