Fall Is Coming!

Hi everyone! This week has been so beautiful! The beginning of the week had some really hot weather, but towards the weekend we had The PERFECT Fall Feeling Weather (even though August is usually the hottest month of Summer!) We had a few really windy + rainy days that are coming from Hurricane Hilary currently hitting California. I am praying that all of my family and friends that are facing the storm are doing ok, and that it won’t be too harsh! Now let's get into my week recap!

WHAT WE DID THIS WEEK:

MONDAY was a mellow day. We hung out with our friends at home, which was fun!

TUESDAY was a hot day, so we went to our friend's pool for a mini pool party!

WEDNESDAY I had my guitar practice! I am learning how to play “This Is Amazing Grace” by Phil Wickham! After practice, we went to a beautiful pond/lake with our friends! The lake also had a waterfall going into it! It was so breathtaking, and we were also able to swim in the water, which was very refreshing!

THURSDAY while my dad had “Men’s Study” me and my family went to the library, and the park!

FRIDAY we went to our friends house for a little playdate + hangout, and after that I had our "Girls Bible Study”

SATURDAY we cleaned up our house for the following church day at our house! Me and my sis were able to clean up the chicken coop really good, and now it looks so much better than before!

SUNDAY we had church at our house which was so sweet!

{I also again mowed the lawn this week! It is so satisfying and fun!}

WHAT I BAKED: This week I baked GF Chocolate Chip Cookies! I made these on a rainy day, which is the perfect dessert for weather like that. The recipe is in the “Recipes” category above!

WHAT GOD HAS TAUGHT ME THIS WEEK:

When I heard about Hurricane Hilary I honestly got really scared for my family in California, and for me and my family here in Idaho! Then I remembered that I don’t have to be so scared, because God is in control of everything! Remembering, and thinking about this has toned down my fear! God is there right by you, keeping you safe through crazy things, like this storm!

UPDATE ON OUR MINI FARM:

CHICKENS:

Ok, I know, literally every week our chickens have been changing their routine with laying eggs, but I think I've finally got the routine down! This is what they're doing: There are currently 8 chickens laying eggs, but 5 of them are laying one day, and then the next day the other 3 chickens are laying eggs. I know, this is really crazy, but I think it's true, because the days that there are only 3 chickens laying the shades of the eggs are different from the days that we get 5 eggs! You might need to read through this twice to understand hehe;P

GARDEN:

Our garden is doing SO good! We got another summer squash this week! We are also getting a BUNCH of tomatoes! I also see some pumkins growing too! Hopefully we get a few for this fall!

NEW:

A few weeks ago my mom bought a CD player to play music, and the other day we brought it out and started listening to CDs! I personally like the CD player more than the music app on my parent’s phone!

I can't believe its already the end of August! What a fast Summer! Surprisingly, I am actually kind of excited for fall and for a new school year! I love the cozy days that are in fall too!

WHAT I WANT TO DO THIS NEXT WEEK:

Go birthday shopping

Read the new "Nancy Drew" book I got from the library

Make homemade bows

Bake a new dessert

Go on a bike ride

Get a back to school haircut
