Life Is Hard But GOD Is Good

Hello everyone! This week has been so awesome! The weather was semi warm + hot! We have been doing a bunch of fun water stuff this week with some of our bestest friends! I love the fun activities that are in Summer so much! Do you? Now lets get into my week recap! What We Did This Week:

Monday we had a mellow day. We stayed at home and hung out with our friends!

Tuesday we went on a beautiful hike with our friends! We literally were so high up that we overlooked our whole city! Wednesday I had my guitar practice, and me and my fam went to a pool with our close friends who were visiting from Bend, Oregon!

Thursday we went to a fun river jump also with our friends! There was a fun swing to drop into the perfect river water, and there also was a tall ledge to jump off into it too!

Friday we went to Chick-Fil-A for lunch, which was so delicious as always. I also had my girl’s Bible study, which was sweet! We read through the chapter Proverbs 3, which is my favorite chapter of that book! It has so many memory verses that my family have memorized, and so many encouraging verses in this chapter too!

Saturday we went to our public library for a fun craft with our neighbor friend! We made Shrinky Dinks (aka. bracelet charms!)

Sunday we had church at our house since the other hostess wanted to take a little break. Our house isn’t as big, but surprisingly many families were on Summer trips, so everyone fit perfectly! {I also mowed the lawn this week, which wasn’t easy, but it was still really fun!}

What I Baked: For our Girl’s Bible Study I made these super easy, gluten free + sugar free Cookie Dough Fudge Bars! This dessert was so good! I will definitely make it again!

What God Has Taught Me This Week: A few days ago, I remembered a saying that our Pastor mentioned:

“Life is hard, but God is good!” I felt like sharing this with you guys, because in this small sentence it means so much! This means that through the hard times that happen in life everyday God will be good and helpful to us through all of our struggles! HE is always there for you!

Update On Our Mini Farm:

Chickens: Remember how I said that our white chickens (that lay blue eggs) haven’t been giving us any blue eggs? Well guess what!? We are currently getting 2 blue eggs + 2 brown eggs a day! Woop woop! What a surprise!

Garden: The garden is doing amazing (as always)! We are getting more “big” tomatoes, and something new (drumroll please...) SUMMER SQUASHES! These squashes fooled me when I saw them, because they look nothing like a squash but more like a flat white pumkin! LOL!

New: This week my mom started a challenge where we only watch TV on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Honestly this has been harder for me, since I am so used to watching shows throughout the rest of the week: MON - THUR! Something that has helped me during this challenge is listening to podcasts! The podcast me and my family have been listening to is: Paws and Tales! This podcast has really helped, because it actually feels like your right there watching the story happen, but in reality its all your imagination! I also love that its Christian based too! I recommend listening to this podcast if your a kid, or an adult (my mom + dad listens to it with us kids too;)!

What I Want To Do This Next Week: - Read 30 minuets every day - Listen to a podcast everyday (Paws and Tales) - Go birthday shopping for my sis, bro, and dad (since their birthdays are all in August)! - Look through my cloths and find some to donate
