Is it already October?! I don't know if it's just me, but this year has gone by sooo quickly! This week definitely felt like fall. We had a few rainy days, and almost everyday was in the high 50s or 60s! I love this season. I also just love the cozy feeling of being in a warm house when it’s really cold outside. Don’t you? Let’s now get into my week recap!

What We Did This Week:

MONDAY we had our little homeschool co-op at a friend's house! We are learning the Bible, States, and the human body! We also had choir practice in the evening!

TUESDAY we did a bit of school in the morning before our friends came over for a little while! Since we hadn't seen them in a while, I made a charcuterie board so we could all snack on some finger foods when they had arrived!

WEDNESDAY I had my portrait photography class! We focused on getting the camera in focus so the pictures would come out clearer! I also had guitar practice in the evening! I really want to do worship for the kids ministry at church, so my guitar teacher is teaching me how to play while standing up, sing louder, etc.

THURSDAY we had a mellow day. We did school, and did normal daily stuff!

FRIDAY we went on a nice walk on a trail by the river with some friends! It was the perfect weather, so we had a very nice walk. We also (as a family) went shopping to get some fall clothes! I got a cute brown cardigan for church or for at home, and a brown + white sweatshirt! Afterwards, we got Chick-Fil-A! once we got home, and the boys were asleep, me, my mom, and sis had a girl night! We watched a movie and ate snacks!

SATURDAY me and my sis went to our Christian girl scout’s day camp! It was really fun, but also really colddd since it was raining. We did some worship, crafts, skits, and games! Even though it was freezing outside, it was still really nice to get out for a while, connect with girls, and see a lot of God’s nature!

What God Has Taught Me:

This week in history, we were learning about how America started! When we heard an audio book on how our country started, it personally made me feel so grateful! People risked their lives to live somewhere better so that they could have more freedom in a new land. They found America, and made it a place where people could live freely! If it weren't for those amazing humans we probably wouldn't have the lives we have today. What God has taught me is to be thankful for everything that I have, and thankful for those people who made our Country a Country.

What I Baked:

This week I helped my mom make Sourdough Pretzels. The first batch we made turned out to be harder, since my mom put the dough in the fridge. But the next batch we didn't put them in the fridge and they turned out to be softer, and more yummy! I can't wait to help make a new batch soon!

When me and my sis got home from day camp, my brother (and my mom) surprised us by making a tiramisu cake! It was so soft and delicious! I don't think I have ever tasted this dessert to be as good as it was!

Update On Our Mini Farm

CHICKENS:

Our big birds are doing amazing! We have been getting 5 eggs a day, which is awesome!

The eggs have been looking really pretty, and the yolk has been having a good healthy color!

GARDEN:

Our garden is definitely slowing down since of the cold weather! Although, the pumpkins are growing so big! I am really stoked for those!

New:

This week we started putting on the heater in the house because of how cold the days are getting! Winter is coming! Nooo!!! But at the same time yesss!!!

I started practicing the song "Jesus Paid It All" on the piano this week! I have been really enjoying playing this song, and I hope that by the end of this new week I will get it to sound very nice and smooth!

What I Have Been Wearing:

This week since the days were cold I wore either jeans or leggings, a sweatshirt, and a beanie when I went outside in the morning to do chicken chores!

I really want to get a sweater dress soon too! Its basically a sweater thats a dress haha! This will be a perfect outfit for church when its to cold to be wearing jeans and a cardigan!

What I Want To Do This Next Week:

Bake something apple related (like apple cake) 🍎

Crochet at least 2 coasters (red, and or orange colored) 🧶

Deep clean room (dust, vacuum, etc.) 🧼

I hope you guys have a wonderful first week of October! God bless, and…
