~Hello Everyone and welcome back! We are in the new year 2024! I figured out what my resolutions are for this year, so continue reading to find them out! This week has been pretty cold here in Idaho! To go outside I need to wear a big puffer jacket, gloves, a beanie, and thick socks (maybe thermals every now and then), and we also got quite a bit of snow on Saturday! Although, this Winter is very different compared to last year, because at around this time last year we would have had at least 10 snows already, but we only had 2 real ones! I am praying we will get more snow soon, because it is just so pretty! Let’s now get into my weekly recap!~
WHAT WE DID THIS WEEK:
MONDAY was the first day of 2024! My Mom + Dad ended up killing 3 of our hens that weren't laying, which was kind of not expected haha! Then after dinner, we watched an episode of The Amazing Race 2023!
TUESDAY my siblings had the stomach bug like I did a week ago! We had a slow day inside, and I helped my mom with cleaning, getting groceries etc. I am hoping that they will feel better the next day!
WEDNESDAY happily my siblings were feeling much better! But we still took it slow at home, because we wanted to slowly ease into normal life stuff again!
THURSDAY I went to a new coffee shop in town and did some school, and my blog post there! I love how peaceful, and close the coffee shop is from home! It also is nice that our friends are the owners! Then, in the afternoon, I went to my friend Sophia’s house to hangout for a bit, then after hanging at her house, together we went to the YMCA and swam at the indoor pool! It was definitely a fun day!
FRIDAY my mom went to her friend’s house to get her hair dyed and cut a little bit, and her friend has kids, so us kids ended up joining and hanging out with them. I love how my mom’s hair looks now! It looks very cute, and fresh!
SATURDAY my dad ended up catching the stomach bug like all of us kids did! I am glad that it only lasted a day though! It is that time of year where many people get sick, so I hope we don’t get any sickness again! In the afternoon we went to our friend Estella’s birthday party! It was tea party themed, so we had tea, donuts, popcorn, and fruit! Then we played a couple of games, and hung out a bit at the end playing a fun sentence game!
WHAT GOD HAS TAUGHT ME THIS WEEK:
This week I feel like I have been doing pretty good with being patient with others, which I am so thankful for! I feel like being more calm, and kind with one another really helps in thinking before you say something that might be too harsh or rude. I am thankful that God is helping me have that peace in my heart!
WHAT I BAKED: I plan to share what I have baked throughout the week with a link to the dessert recipe if possible! Make something delicious, and enjoy!
This time I baked some Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins for breakfast on Wednesday! These seriously are always so good! If you haven't already, you definitely have to try making these! They are so easy!
Also here is the reel I made of my family making Cosanac (Romanian Walnut Bread!)
NEW:
-This week I have been sleeping earlier than usual (around 9:40pm) which has been very helpful with waking up earlier! I have been getting around 10 hours of sleep a night, which is making me feel more rested in the morning!
-Like I said earlier, I found out my resolutions for this year! They are:
-Learn how to Dutch Braid my own hair
-Remodel the chicken living space
-Save up for Nike Shoes
-Workout 4-5 days a week
-Wake up every morning @ 6:30 - 7am
-Get very good at playing volleyball
-Be more patient with my siblings, and friends
-Bake more sugar free
-Hangout with sibling one on one everyday
-Go outside for at least 30 minutes a day (for the winter, then longer time in the other seasons)
-Also another thing that is new is that at church there is a Bible reading challenge to read the whole Bible in a whole year, and currently that is what I am doing in the mornings as my God Time! I am reading one to two chapters a day from the Bible, and I am really liking the challenge so far! You should try to do this also!
- These past few days I have been thinking more and more about what my dream life is going to be when I am older! I would love to work at a coffee shop, or at this cute small vintage/ farmhouse style shop and I am really close with the owner of the store! I would also love to be a really good lifestyle blogger! I am so excited for what is going to happen currently, and what is going to happen in the years to come! I am praying to God about my dreams, and I am hoping that they will come true one day!
- Also this week I learned how to paint my nails on both hands, and actually it looks very good! I am glad because before I was horrible, and always asked someone to help do them on me.
HAIRSTYLES I HAVE BEEN DOING LATELY:
This Christmas I gave my sister a whole pack of claw clips, and she kindly is letting me use one everyday to do a hairstyle with! Lately I have been doing a half up half down claw clip hairstyle, or a ponytail claw clip hairstyle! I am going to do a separate blog post all about it, so say tuned!
By the way, I learned a couple of ways to get your hair curly without using heat, or having to buy heatless curls, so stay tuned for a separate blog post coming up soon all about it also!
I hope you enjoyed this week’s blog post, and stay tuned for new posts coming up soon by subscribing down below! May God bless you, and…
LOVE YOU!
