This Is The Summer Life 😄

~Happy Independence Day! This week was so much fun! It started off with VBS {Vacation Bible School} from Sunday - Thursday. Everyday there was something new to learn about God and our main theme which was "Babylon". We had amazing worship songs and also did hand motions to the lyrics of the songs too! I was a helper in the third grade group this year which was a great experience, and a good way to learn how to take care of younger kids. I hope I will attend VBS again next year!~

Here’s My Weekly Recap!

My Favorite Outfit:

~This week I wore this cute white top with dark blue jean shorts!~

~I just love how this outfit looked, and I will definitely wear it again soon! It was a bit too hot to wear the top outside because of how long the sleeves are, so maybe when the days are cooler or in the evening time if I go out it would be more fitting.~

What God Has Taught Me This Week:

~This week God taught me to not compare what other people have to what I don't have. God gave me everything I have for a reason, and He put me in this world for a reason: to shine His light on others. I was reminded to focus on what God gave me!~

What I Baked:

Every blog post I will try to share at least one special treat I baked throughout the week with a link to the recipe if possible. Enjoy!

- This week I made a Tiramisu Cake for the first time! This cake is one of my favorites and it was so delicious! When I was making the frosting I was a bit frustrated. It turned out more watery than creamy, so my mom helped me out to make it the way it should be, and in the end the frosting turned out perfectly! After observation, I think it didn’t turn out the first time because I used raw cream instead of heavy whipping cream. This is a good note taken for the next time I make this cake.

Update On Our Mini Farm:

- Remember how in last week’s blog post I mentioned our chickens are only laying one egg a day? Well guess what?! Now they are laying two! Woohoo! In no time all of our chickens will be laying one a day, which equals ten! - Our garden is doing so good! Tomatoes are starting to ripen, and I see eggplant, cucumbers, and peppers growing! Thank you God!

New:

- This week has been the hottest one this season, so far. Lately we have been more outside than inside, and have been doing more water activities {Like running through the sprinklers}!~ - It’s July! Woah. This year had gone by so quickly! My birthday is tomorrow {July 5th} I am turning 12!~

- My mom also made an outdoor mud-play kitchen! It turned out so good, and my younger siblings love playing with it!~

- The sun is now setting at 10pm! It's fully dark by 10:30ish, and the sun is rising at 6am! I just love how long and amazing this season is!

What We Did This Week:

- This week we went to our friend's swimming pool, which was so fun and refreshing! - We had some of our friends over from California for a BBQ! That evening Audrey {my sis} learned how to do a back hand-spring on the floor! I am so proud of her!🤸🏽

- I had my bookclub Friday, which was so sweet. I love the book we are reading! It is realistic, but its also a very fun and interesting book too!

- Our next door neighbor asked us if we could take care of their chickens while they are out of town for a few days, thankfully their chickens are laying at least three eggs a day! Its definitely a win-win to get extra eggs for a little while! I am a bit scared of our neighbors chickens, because they just follow us when we go in their runner. But I guess that's a good thing haha 😛 😂

- My family went to a waterpark with our friends! We stayed there from 12pm - 7pm! Long right?! We went on a bunch of crazy water slides and we went on the lazy river at least 10 times! I am so thankful that I didn't get a huge sunburn, because those definitely hurt a bunch.
